Ken Hui

Ken is a veteran of the Silicon Valley with more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry at IBM, Sun, Cisco, Juniper, VMWare and many other companies. His strength lies in strong hands-on knowledge of the overall IT infrastructure. In his most recent career, Ken focuses on providing Consulting services on VMWare and Linux platform.

Ken has two Masters Degrees in Computer Science and Economics, respectively, from University of California, Davis.

Course Objectives

By the completion of this Virtualization course, the participants should be able to:

  • Understand main concepts of Virtualization technology
  • Understand the benefits and drawbacks of using virtualized environments
  • Know best practices of using Virtualization in enterprise world
  • Learn about different virtualization components and approaches: server, storage and network
  • Get familiar with virtualization products available on the market today
  • Learn about VMware server architecture and functionality
  • Learn how to minimize the risks of virtualizing the existing physical server infrastructure

Pre-requisites

Basic understanding of operating systems, networking, web technologies and databases. Experience working with or knowledge of IT infrastructures is a plus.
