Andre Susantin has over ten years of software development experience ranging from startups to fortune 500 companies. He has a wide technologies expertise and is a passionate instructor. Andre holds M.S. in Information Technology and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from San Francisco State University.

Course Objectives

By the completion of the course you should be able to:

  • Understand the usage of PHP and MySQL in dynamic web development.
  • Understand PHP language data types, logic controls, built-in and user-defined functions.
  • Be able to setup and configure MySQL, PHP, Apache web server development environment.
  • Select, insert, update and delete data using SQL language.
  • Understand Object oriented programming paradigm in PHP.
  • Build a simple, yet functional web application using PHP/MySQL.

Course Dates and Times

Course Structure

This is a 3-day PHP training class that includes a 45 minute lunch and several short breaks during each training day. Course will include up to 12 students to provide the students with the maximum instructor attention. Course encourages open discussions, questions and personal experience examples.

What’s Required

Since this is a hands-on course, we ask that you bring your own laptop to class. You will walk away with all training materials as well as the sample code you will have completed in class.

Pre-requisites

  • Some previous web development or programming experience is recommended
  • Familiarity with the operating system installed on your laptop
