Summary

Cloud Computing is a notion of web-based services that are available on demand from a highly scalable and optimized service provider. It has captured a lot of attention from many IT leaders and there has been a major shift in interest toward Cloud Computing over the past several years. It allows enterprises to invest in their IT infrastructures as they go, avoiding expensive and risky upfront investments. Yet, not all applications and platforms benefit from deployment in the cloud, due to latency, transaction control and security compliance. In this course we will review the business drivers and characteristics of Cloud deployments, service models, benefits and challenges. We will cover Cloud infrastructure security concerns, solutions and best practices for migration and running your IT infrastructure in the Cloud.
