Course Instructor

Philip J. Mikal is an entrepreneur with a background in Internet technology, financial services and the real estate industry. He has founded several profitable Internet based companies and has consulted to industry leaders such as Cisco Systems, Hewlett-Packard and Sun Microsystems.
Philip is also active in the Open Source software community. His comments on the use of Linux in the enterprise were videotaped for display at the March 1999 Linux World conference and his article, Configuring Apache for Wireless Browsers, was published in the July 2000 issue of Linux Journal.
Philip is currently Chief Operating Officer of ChargeSmart, an online service that enables credit card bill payments.

Course Structure
This is a 2-day Apache Web Server Administration training class that includes a 45 minute lunch and several short breaks during each training day. Course will include up to 10 students to provide the students with the maximum instructor attention.

What’s Required
Since this is a hands-on course, we ask that you bring your own laptop to class. You will walk away with all training materials as well as the sample code you will have completed in class.
Pre-requisites
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows operating system is a plus
- Basic understanding of administering applications in general
